Hello! I’m Clara. I love photography and any excuse to be in the ocean. I’m based in Pismo Beach, California, and shoot both film and digital, with a soft spot for film.

I’ve slowly made my way west from Philadelphia to Houston and now the Central Coast. I started shooting film in Philly after a friend gifted me a camera, and I later learned darkroom development at Flats Film Studio in Houston.

Learning film photography and surfing have been two of the most personally fulfilling things I’ve done. I’m inspired by the ocean, love stories, diversity, and watching people work on their craft. It brings me a lot of joy to create warm, personal images and spend time with the people I photograph.
